Seven principles of public life

The Seven Principles of Public Life are the ethical standards for those working in public office.

They’re important to us for because of the clients we work with - often in the public sector or with organisations in receipt of public funding. And because of the work we do, marketing professionals are in a trusted position to put information straight into people’s social media feeds, inboxes or day-to-day life - we think that requires care.

In 2021, the Committee on Standards in Public Life published a report Upholding Standards in Public Life, which outlines the importance of ethical behaviour for our society, democracy and economy - it’s long, but worth the read.
